To all of our Game Masters: We sincerely apologize for the configuration error that recently limited GM badge holders from being able to register for scheduled events that did not include them. At Winona Con we believe strongly in community, collaboration, and creative expression; this error inadvertently limited the people who make Winona Con possible. This problem occurred because of a permissions setting within our registration system which mistakenly limited GM badge holders to hosting only.
While we certainly didn’t intend to create problems, it clearly did create frustration and confusion—and for that reason alone, we’re extremely sorry for the inconvenience it created—particularly for those who were excited to participate in sessions conducted by their fellow GMs. The positive side of things is that the issue has been completely fixed. All Game Masters may now register for games, events, and activities throughout the entire convention schedule. If you experienced an error or were prevented from registering in the past, you should now be able to log-in and register for events with no difficulty. We greatly appreciate your patience as we worked through this solution. The GMs are the foundation of Winona Con. Your willingness to host, teach, tell stories, and express your passions makes Winona Con a unique event.
Therefore, you deserve the same opportunity to play, discover, and enjoy yourself during the weekend as does every other attendee.
